Prof. Chaminda Konthesingha is one of the founding members of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He is the founding head of the department of civil engineering . Prof. Konthesingha obtained his BSc degree from university of Moratuwa in year 2006 and completed his masters from the same university in year 2008. He earned his PhD from the University of Newcastle, Australia in year 2012.His research interests includes Structural Masonry, Lightweight Concrete, Fire Safety of Buildings and Retrofitting and Strengthening of Masonry Structures.
