The medal is endowed by the well-wishing academics of the department.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The students from the Civil Engineering Department will be eligible for this award. The\u00a0 name of the gold medal, motto, qualification and selection criteria for the medal are as follows.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong><u>Name of the gold medal<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Gold medal for Civil Engineering<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong><u>Motto<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Awarded to the best performing Civil Engineering student of Bachelor of the Science of Engineering Honours Degree program who obtains the highest Overall Grade Point Average of 3.70 or above.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong><u>Qualification Criteria<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">In order to qualify for the gold medal, the graduand should satisfy the below criteria,<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Successfully completed the Degree Program within four academic years.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Has obtained an Overall Grade Point Average of 3.70 or above.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Has not been repeated in any of the GPA courses.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Has no disciplinary action against the student.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong><u>Selection Criteria<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">The student with the highest OGPA who has fulfilled the above qualification criteria will be selected as the awardee.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">If there are multiple qualifying candidates with same OGPA, the candidate with highest number of \u2018Outstanding\u2019 grades (A+), will be selected as the awardee.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">If there are multiple qualifying candidates with same OGPA, and a same number of \u2018Outstanding\u2019 grades (A+), the candidate who has the highest average mark for all compulsory and elective courses would be selected as the awardee.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0 award of Gold Medal for Civil Engineering for the Most Outstanding Graduand of the Department of Civil Engineering &nbsp; The Department of Civil Engineering has decided to award a Gold Medal for the Most Outstanding Graduand of the Department with effect from the year 2021 convocation of Batch 01 (2015\/2016).
