An MoU was signed between the University of Sri Jayewardenepra and Lanka Electricity Company (LECO) on the 30th of December 2024 for doing collaborative projects for final-year students. Eng. L H K Liyanage – Chief Engineer (Training) joined as the representative from the LECO and signed the MoU on that date. Vice-chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepra, Snr. Prof. M. M. Pathmalal, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Nishan Dharmaweera, Head of the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Dr. Uditha Wijewardhana, Dr. Charithi Yapa, Mr. Nimantha Madhushan, and students who currently doing a project with LECO are joined on that date.
