National and International Standards

The curriculum of the Study Programme meets both national and international standards for engineering education.
Nationally, the Curriculum has been drawn up in keeping with the requirements of the Sri Lanka Qualification Framework (SLQF) and the IESL, which is the apex body for the Engineering Profession in Sri Lanka. In addition, the curriculum has been designed in compliance with the international standard for an Engineering Degree Programme, namely the Washington Accord of the International Engineering Alliance.

Bachelor of the Science of Engineering Honours Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering provides up to date program, in keeping with the standards of teaching excellence followed by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Therefore, the contents of its program made to serve the needs of the country and students in preparing them for a future career in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
The Bachelor of the Science of Engineering Honours (BScEngHons) degree offered by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a 4-year program. The students can further obtain two minors in Telecommunication Engineering and Biomedical Engineering offered by the Department, upon satisfying the requisites.
