A team of students from the Engineering faculty, USJ won the first runner-up at the SLIOT Challenge 2020. The team comprised of students from the Department of EE: Kasun Thushara, Udara Kumarasena, Sajana Wikramasingha, and from the Department of ME: Kasun Chanuka Sooriyapperuma. The competition was organized by The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Moratuwa.
