On 15th July 2021, the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ) and the National Building Research Organization (NBRO) of the State Ministry of National Security and Disaster Management of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote collaborative research and development in the field of Landslide Disaster Risk Management. Vice-Chancellor, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Dr. Akila Subasinghe, Dr. Chamitha de Alwis, Dr. Nishan Dharmaweera, and Ms. Tharani Edirisinghe from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering were present at this occasion.
