Dr. Akila Subasinghe is a founding member of the Faculty of Engineering and is also the Founder Dean of the Faculty. He currently serves as a Senior Lecturer attached to the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He received the B.Sc. (First Class Honours) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He then secured the degrees of MESc and PhD from the Western University, Canada, working on cancer research and radiation biodosimetry.
