Dr. Bhathiya Pilanawithana received the B.Sc. (First Class Honours) in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 2013. After working in the industry for more than 2 years he then moved to the University of Melbourne, Australia where he received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2019. He is currently working as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.
