Occupational first aid training workshop

The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society-Colombo Branch organized an occupational first aid training workshop for all the staff members of the department of civil engineering. This event was held on 15^th September at Rawathawatta faculty premises. A first aid trainer from the Red cross society Mr. Chameera Peries conducted the session with demonstrations on emergency action principles, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), bleeding management, musculoskeletal injuries, etc. All the staff members had the chance to practice CPR and the injury bandages. This workshop was completed as a staff development activity and was funded by STHRD project under Asian Development Bank.
