The Department holds its second Department Industrial Consultative Committee Meeting

The second meeting of the Department Industrial Consultative Committee (DICC) of the Department of Civil Engineering, USJ was held on 28^th of April 2021, via zoom due to the prevailing pandemic situation in the country.

Recent department developments and the feedback received during the inaugural DICC were the key discussion points of the meeting. The department presented the feedback stating how the comments received during the inaugural DICC meeting were successfully addressed based on six key aspects; curriculum, industrial training, industry visits, soft skills, research and development, and learning experience.  Further successful discussions were carried out to create new avenues for extending the department industry affiliation via collaborative work, such as joint research and industry visits.

Participants representing both academia as well as the industry were involved in a friendly discussion and shared their valuable thoughts while appreciating the above-mentioned aspects for the further development of the department.
