Dr. Samarasekara obtained her first degree with first-class honours in Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa in 2003. Dr. Samarasekara earned her Masters degree in Engineering specialized in Environmental Science and Human Engineering from Saitama University, Japan and earned her PhD from the same University specializing in Science and Engineering. Her consultancy and research experience are focused towards, Infrastructure Development, Transport Impact Assessment, Pedestrian Environment, Perception & and Behaviour in Urban Landscape Scenic Route Development, Alternate Dispute Resolution for Construction Projects and Landscape Evaluation. She has been engaged in several Transport development and landscape development projects in Sri Lanka and Japan. Dr. Samarasekara is a Member of the Institution of Engineers Sri-Lanka, and Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
