Nadika obtained BSc Eng (Hons) from Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa and obtained Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with specialization in Intelligent Transportation Systems from the same University followed by a post-doctoral fellowship. He has also obtained professional qualifications in Management Accounting as a CIMA (UK) Passed Finalist. He has over 10 years of experience in teaching, research and providing consultancy expertise. He has served as a consultant for many government and private projects, including the Colombo Sub-Urban Railway Project funded by ADB, Light Rail Transit Project funded by JICA, Beliatta-Kataragama Railway Extension Project, Proposed marine drive extension project, Proposed Central Expressway, Ruwanpura Expressway, Outer Circular Highway, New Kelani Bridge project, Havelock City Development, Port City development, etc. In addition, he has involved in conducting over 100 Traffic Impact Assessments for various government and private projects all over Sri Lanka.

Apart from academic and consultancy, Nadika became the Captain and “Flag Bearer” of Sri Lankan team for World University Games 2013, Kazan – Russia, representing Badminton. Further, he was the “Olympic Torch Career” at Sri Lanka University Games (SLUG) in 2013. Nadika was able to represent Sri Lanka team 3 times, for the World University Games; Kazan Russia in 2013, Gwangju Korea in 2012 and Shenzhen China in 2011, and obtained Colors for Sri Lanka Universities, Western Province and also Sri Lanka Junior.
