Senior Lecturer (Department of Mechanical Engineering)
Dr. Ishanka Dedigama holds a MEng in Chemical Engineering and a PhD in Electrochemical Engineering from University College London (UCL), UK. She is an expert in hydrogen energy devices having completed her PhD in Diagnostics and Modeling of Polymer Electrolyte Membrane water electrolysers. She has published extensively in high-quality scientific journals and is the most published female academic in the UK in water electrolysis. Dr. Dedigama has worked as a Senior Policy Advisor for the UK Government developing cyber security policies for their energy sector with a special focus on the smart energy grid and renewable energies. She is a Director of Lanka Electricity Company Pvt. Ltd (LECO) and the founder of Green Hydrogen Innovation Lab at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. She is truly passionate about preparing for a zero emission future and dedicates her research efforts towards developing green hydrogen technologies.
