The 2nd Industry Consultative Committee (ICC) meeting was held on the 30th of April 2022.
The meeting was held in order to inform the ICC members regarding the actions proposed by the department in response to the constructive comments and suggestions provided in the 1st ICC meeting.
Queries regarding the conduct of the degree programme and current curriculum were clarified while proposed curriculum changes to reflect the suggested improvements were also discussed. Furthermore, panel feedback was also obtained on additional curriculum changes which are planned to be implemented in the next major curriculum revision.
The panel was also updated on the future directions of the department such as the IESL recognition visit and the ongoing construction of the new premises.
The meeting was participated by industry experts representing mechanical engineering related industries including the textiles industry, mechatronics industry, automobile industry as well as the building services industry. The meeting concluded with positive remarks from the industry experts over the proposed actions and improvements made following the 1st ICC meeting.
